Kingspan Insulation has announced it is investing €17 million in two state-of-the-art, low waste production lines at its facilities in Derbyshire and North Yorkshire, further enhancing its portfolio of construction and mechanical engineering insulation products.
The prototype Continuous Process Line 3 (CPL3) – which is expected to go live at Kingspan Industrial Insulation’s site in Glossop in August 2018 – is the latest evolution in the firm’s Queen’s Award winning CPL technology.
CPL production technology automates the lamination of the product’s internal and external liner and has allowed Kingspan Industrial Insulation to achieve significant reductions in manufacturing waste when compared with the ‘cut from block’ approach.
A further €10 million investment is being made at Kingspan Insulation’s facility near Selby with the introduction of a manufacturing line for Kingspan Styrozone insulation.
The new facility will offer even greater choice to specifiers and installers, producing boards in a comprehensive range of lengths, thicknesses, densities and compression strengths.
