Leading Irish low energy window supplier Ultimate Door and Window Solutions opened its new extended Dublin showroom to the public in February. The showroom, behind the Red Cow Hotel in Ballymount, is 50% bigger than before and will showcase the company’s new EKO ONKNA range of Polish-manufactured low energy windows and doors.
This new budget-friendly range features all aluminium, aluminium-PVC, and all PVC triple-glazed windows, and according to Ultimate Door and Window solutions, it can deliver passive-level performance at much more affordable prices than many passive certified units.
“The really exciting thing about it for architects and for those who are architecturally led is that they do an all aluminium profile,” said Paul of Ultimate Door and Window Solutions. This extruded aluminium system can reach overall U-values of 0.57, Paul said, explaining that it’s the first aluminium window system to employ silica aerogel as a thermal break.
“You can have quite large areas of glazing with it because it’s all metal,” he said. “Architects are really going to love it, it’s very contemporary looking.”
“This new system also includes a very good aluminium front door in a number of contemporary styles which are cost effective,” he said.
Ultimate Door and Window Solutions new showroom also features the company’s range of passive house certified windows and doors from leading Austrian manufacturer Internorm. The showroom will be open from 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday and 10am to 2pm on Saturdays. For more information, see www.ultimatejoinery.ie
